Bidasar Green Marble
Bidasar Green also popularly called as Rainforest Green is a green marble from India, with a very extravagant look. It presents a strong and well-defined vein, with some green color contrast. This is a basically a hard natural stone and it presents some occasional signs of calcite. Its main variations depend on the color variations as well as vein orientation and abundance. Bidasar Green is very strong marble and takes good polish on the surface. Characteristics in veining and movement will tend to vary between various bocks from which the stone was extracted. Due to this stone's qualities, the slabs are book-matched, in which slab one and slab two will be cut and polished to create a mirror image of each other. These are then kept in sequence, which allows for a consistent flow in pattern. It is a common characteristic for this stone to have voids in the raw material. Before it reaches the polishing stages, these voids are filled with a polyester resin. Depending on how deep the void is, the resin may shrink as it dries, which will leave the surface of the filled area slightly lower than the rest.
